CERTIFIED LESS BASICS®
Scaling Agile with Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS)
Scaling Scrum beyond a single team can be challenging—but Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS) provides the solution. Built on Scrum principles like empiricism and self-managing teams, LeSS offers a clear framework to help organizations scale effectively. With structured rules and guidelines, it streamlines large product development while staying true to agile values.
Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS) is a framework for scaling agile development to multiple teams.
LeSS is based on Scrum principles, such as empiricism, cross-functional and self-organized/self-managed teams. Additional rules, guidelines and instructions make it possible to apply Scrum principles and practices to scaling. LeSS provides simple rules for creating a suitable organizational structure and guidelines on how Scrum can be introduced and used for larger and large product development projects.
The course “Certified LeSS Basics” is a short introduction to the LeSS framework.
The course provides a one-day overview of the framework and some of the key concepts. It will help you to decide whether LeSS is suitable for you. We recommend that you continue with a LeSS Practitioner course.
The “Certified LeSS Basics” course is aimed at anyone who already has basic Scrum knowledge, e.g. by attending a Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master course, or by a thorough reading of Scrum introductory material such as Scrum Primer. The Certified LeSS Basics course is also often combined with a Scrum course.
If you would like to learn more about how companies implement LeSS, visit the LeSS works Case Studies and LeSS.works.
After completing the course, all participants receive a Certified LeSS Basics certificate and an account on less.works. The LeSS Basics certificate does not expire.
