Especially in the planning and estimation phase, there tends to be frustration within agile project teams. In this course you will have the opportunity to build up a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of agile planning and estimation methods. Together we discuss the meaning of “just enough” in the context of requirements, scope, design and planning.
This course is aimed equally at managers, programmers and testers, i.e. anyone involved in the estimation of a software development project. As a course participant, you should already have basic knowledge and a minimum of experience in the field of agile project management. Learn more about proven planning techniques in agile projects and increase your project’s chances of success!

- Comparison of traditional and agile estimation methods
- Function Points, Story Points, Planning Poker, Magic Estimation, Fast Estimation
- Understanding and applying planning for sprints, releases, projects and roadmaps
- Accepting challenges in the area of planning and estimating
- Carrying out six-step planning (strategy, portfolio, …)
- Understanding and applying the Agile Lifecycle Diagram
- Writing Stories and analyzing EPICs
- Introducing Affinity Sizing, Planning Poker, Complexity Buckets and Ideal Days
- Demonstrate the speed and capability of the project team and estimate the initial speed
- Set up a release plan
